During the 2010, we program to organize the first International Conference on Materials Science (ICMS 2011) for nanotechnology, catalysis and biomedicine, in the most beautiful city of Chile, Valdivia, during October 2011. That experience was a complete success, then we decide to continue with this meeting in a biannual regime.

This time, we are elaborating a rich scientific program, with high level academic standards in the field of materials science, with applications in nanotechnology, catalysis, biomedicine, Supramolecular Materials, Optoelectronics and Magnetism plus an Astrochemistry session, among others at experimental and theoretical level. 

The participants of this event, National and International Researchers, Graduate and Undergraduate students, can also take part of different cultural activities, in order to have a close scientific contact to convene the dialogue, reflection and friendship.

Thus, we invite you to participate in all the activities we have prepared, to know the Universidad Austral de Chile and the beautiful landscapes that Valdivia offers you from dawn till dusk.
